Just got to plug in the QS10 for the first time, and the A/C is not running very cold. I realize that the trailer isn't going to get super cold in hot weather, but the air coming out of the unit isn't very cold. It is an 11 year old a/c unit after all.

Has anyone ever removed and recharged their window unit? Is it even possible to replace the coolant in a window unit?

Thanks in advance!

There are no service valves in window units, so unless you want to solder some in, don't bother. But measure the inlet air and the outlet air. There should be at least 15 degrees temperature drop. If you can get 15 degrees or more then the unit is working ok and it is just too damn hot outside.

This might be a bit of a wives tale but I've always been told that you wont get the best temps from an AC unit if it is out of level and until it has had time to settle if it has been in transport. I agree that you wont see a huge drop in temp between ambient but it should be noticeable.

Has any one replaced the ac unit and had better results?  We went camping this weekend and it did an ok job keeping us cold.

Mine doesn't cool 15 degrees, I don't think. Now I need to measure intake and air blowing out. I'm really curious.
