Awning did not fit

First time I put the awning on I could not figure out why it did not match up with the zipper at the top. I turned it every way I could to get it to match, lol. Well, I had to cut it in the middle and kind of stretch it so it would reach each side of both zippers but at least it works.
Anyone else have this problem?
