Depends on size of cooler.

not too large, but I've gotten a small 18x20 something I can't recall but I've gotten a small/medium cooler to fit.

I'm not sure of size, but it depends on size of cooler.
[div][/div]Can you load anything, a cooler for example through the half door while the tent is folded up and the cover is snapped on?
The simple answer is yes, but as Clyde points out, there isn't a huge space. You need to unsnap the tonneau cover a few snaps fore and aft of the door to give clearance for it to open. We have an 8.1 and always load some "last things" into the opening. The folded tent is hanging down but it can be pushed up a little. One thing I have found useful is that (if you don't have an air conditioner) you can reach and open the by-the-door cabinet to get at things. I use that cabinet for things I need to get at when the camper is closed up, such as flashlights, LED lanterns, and headlamps. During winter storage I always keep a bucket of DampRid inside the opening to allay mold.

I have an 8.0 with an air conditioner, and I am still able to open and get into the cabinet when the camper is closed.  I can even get a box of stuff between the AC frame and the cabinet section on the floor.  You might also be able to get some stuff under the table between the benches.   I pack a 3" thermarest folded in half under there when we shut down, so it expands to fill the space.  I also keep a 1" folded thermarest tucked between the flattened cabinet sections.

We pack last minute things like pillows and blankets in there all the time in our 8.1.
