I just got a 10.0 and had to replace both screws that hold the battery in. One just broke off and I noticed the battery sitting sideways, lol. I took it apart, drilled a new hole, tapped it and put new machine screws in with lock washers. Just a heads up to keep an eye on it. While it was off I drilled a couple holes in bottom of the plastic to let the water out from the rain. The dealer is 100 miles away so anything I can do to fix things I have to do it.

Pictures? My battery sits in a plastic battery box that is attached to the frame with large zip strips. There aren't any screws.   Is your battery box attached to the tongue with screws?

[p]Im guessing his is like mine has an aluminum surround of angle alum held on with two screws. I will shoot a pic of mine in the morning if he hasn't put any up.[/p]

My battery box itself just sits in the aluminum "surround".

I twice found a couple cups of water in it (you can just make it out):

In any case, I also drilled four small holes in the recesses to let the water flow out, just barely visible here:

In a perfect world, each hole would have a "spigot" to route possible spilled acid away from the frame, but for now I'm just going with the drain holes.

I have a battery box attached to the aluminum angle with large zip strips, but I thought the angle frame was welded to the tongue.  Maybe it's not welded, but screwed? I can't tell from what I can see.

Here is my battery box - I wired in a cutoff switch attached to the side of the battery box. You can see the holes in the box on the sides and in the bottom. The box was attached when I bought from dealer. Not sure if it was a factory or dealer install. I'm guessing dealer.

Those tywraps are an interesting solution. Not sure about the decision to use them structurally, but at least they automatically allow drainage.

Yours is like mine. It is not welded on, there are two screws that hold it on. They look like wood screws, lol. Anyway, not enough to hold weight of a battery over time I don't think. I'm not good at this picture thing, I wish I was. Thanks to all that added pics of this.
