Great Forum.   First time caller ;)     I'm most likely going to buy a 6.0 (2017) with a deck pretty soon.   I'm considering the Livin Lite factory option of an awning room as well, as opposed to just the awning.   I would love to hear thoughts from those who have this or have had experience with it.     Mainly, is it worth it?      $650 price tag for the screened in option, as opposed to $130 for just the awning.    Forgive me if I missed a similar post somewhere else.

Reg.  There has been a recent conversation regarding this. I am not sure how to hyperlink but here is the address:  http://livinlite-owners.com/post/24121/thread.

I am currently researching this myself and interested in any responses. I think a couple of good sources are Sean and Idlerockfarm. I want something that can be setup solo. Has walls that extend to the floor and doesn't cost anything. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

I don't have the awning or screen room. I'm seriously considering the awning for next spring though.

I would love to hear from someone who has the screen room. It won't be in my budget for 2017 though.

I personally feel that the factory screen room is not worth it. It's a large price tag with too many disadvantages.
For one it zips to the tent of the camper and then is held up with poles and support lines. That means you need to rely on a vital seam of your primary shelter which can be damaged in high winds or a storm. It's also something that really needs to be attached after the camper is open,  so then you have the difficulty in reaching the upper zipper. Keep in mind that on the 6.0 these are less difficult than on the larger units like the 10.0 by the concepts are the same.

I tend to go for more practical solutions. I use a 10x10 e z up for its multiple advantages. For example it can be setup independent from the camper, so let's say you want to cover a table that is not right in front of the door. The shelter can go anywhere to fit the need. The shelter can also have a fully enclosed screen room yet it can be added or removed as needed. Again I like this since I may not also have to deal with bugs. Oh and they have shade walls as well.
The shelter is also far more cost effective. For the 600+ of the factory option you can get the shelter and all the accessories several times over.

Prosser RV in Milwaukee sells the awning with the screen room for $525 for both.

I had a 6.0 with the awning and I enjoyed it.  The pop up canopy was not high enough to cover the door and there was a gap between the camper and the canopy that allowed rain in.  I did not have the screen room attachment

I do like putting my Alcove shelter over the picnic table for cooking. I'd get the awning just because. It seems like a nice option to use occasionally.

We added the awning but not the side walls... too expensive.  Also have a 10 x 10 Coleman canopy. May eventually add a screen house.

When we had a 6.0 we added a matching zipper to an existing camping fly we Had. It is nice to step out the door and not get wet.
