ITs been done, the aluminum parts has been ordered, the plan has been set - all I have left to get is

Self Tapping Screws - So far measurements has reached to a 1 1/4 Tapping screws - flat head.
Countersunk Bit

Remove few things off the camper, and re-arrange those after I'm setting up the rack up

Once thats complete - off to find FIVE bike racks for the kids and the wife and I - that part I m not really looking forward to, considering some of the stands Im leaning towards to is almost 180 bucks each (thats almost 1000 bucks pre-tax/shipping if not free)

Wish me luck, if its good - I ll post a picture.. if its not - Ill hide and never come back again.

if I do come back, I ll post pictures and plans for others to copy. (if its good)

I use something similar, but I want to bring the quicksilver - and not use those double hitch thing..  Also will be putting a basket there so I can bring along my smoker bbq to some camping trips.

Cant wait for the aluminum to arrive... FYI I'm using 80/20 Extruded Aluminum.

Thats why I added a 2" receiver to the rear bumper of the QS. Now I can mount the bike rack to that. Here is my write up on the process: http://www.livinthelitelife.com/2016/02/adding-a-rear-2-receiver/

Clyde - After you're done fabricating your rack, maybe you can enlist dear Mom again to help sew a nice cover for the bikes. I remember the >> [a href="http://livinlite-owners.com/thread/1139/call"]QS skirt you designed[/a] << -- still one of my all-time favorite Livin'Lite mods. It belongs in the hall of fame.  8-)

I believe the addition of the 2x4 aluminum welded behind the bumper makes the most sense however I do know the reason LivinLite did not offer this as an option was due to the weight distribution. The tongue of the trailer becomes too light. Safety mostly. This is why you will see all their products have increase in tongue weight.

Well this what I have so far..  Need to do other side.

but..  it can be down flat, or up a few inches (I might put 1.5 inch spacers on bottom of these bars)
more forward, more backwards or smaller, or larger. depending what I need

now whats left is 2nd side, and some bike racks, etc to be placed on.

upon arriving local camp sites (where we usually bring bikes) we take bikes off, then loosen that side and remove the top put it aside.
Then do the usual opening and setup.

well.. its a work in progress, and I can easily bring along the bikes, a basket or car carrier on top also.

This is totally awesome. More pics and a detailed write up please. I predict this will be repeated by many others! I am a particularly interested in your source for those aluminum side and cross prices.

This is looking great! Not only does this look like a great bike rack but I bet it looks like a great solution for kayaks or even a car top carrier for extra dry storage. I'm definitely excited to see how this turns out

sorry been a few weeks since I've updated.

I got 3 kids, AAU Basketball, Track and Swim Team takes most of my weekends and time

this afternoon - I got home early due to a broken AC unit - just a capacitor  whew. so not too much money to be paid out - which gave me time to pull the trailer out and put bikes and all those stuff on it.
here what it looks like...

4 out of 5 mounted up, my son wanted to ride his bike, his bike will be located right next to the thule carrier I picked up from craigslist for 50 bucks.

What is left, is a Kayak carrier on the end, should en more than enough room, will order one shortly.

The rack is able to be slide back more or so if I want the weight in the back or more closer to front, depending on weight of the kayak and the grill I m putting up there (a small portable one)

You should post a material list so I can dream of copying your design. Very nice! I need to get four or five bikes on as well. How much work is it to remove when you get to your camp site?

Just saw this on yahoo groups and thought I would pass it along. Cool Bike Rack http://www.sixnall.com/

Very clever. When I carried my aluminum boat on top of my 10.0, I had built a "frame" out of 2 by 4 and 2 by 6 Cedar that I would put over the closed trailer, then slide up the 275 lb boat against the cedar. I always worried I would damage the tonneau cover but surprisingly it never did.

My son now drives so we pull the boat and motor behind a car now!  Here's the boat I used to carry on my 10.0.
