Camp Kitchen for 6.0

So the 6.0 is small, no doubt about it, but that doesn't mean you have to sacrifice functionality for compactness.  With that, I built this workstation (i.e., bar    ) / camp kitchen which nicely packs up within the trailer.

Drawers underneath are Tupperwear with some aluminum L channel riveted to it.  L channel rides in a slot in wood guides.

Legs are from a portable sawhorse and are adjustable for height.  Handy when on uneven ground.  Legs fit into square slots on the bottom.

Top pieces are kept in place by tap washers screwed in each corner.

To put away, remove legs, top pieces, and drawers.  Place shell in trailer.  Drawers go into the empty space on the right side.

Top pieces go back on.

Slotted pool noodles in the corners to keep everything from shifting.

And, with couch folded down, you still have lots of room to store other items.

Dimensions are 56" x 18" x 8" high, all carefully designed to fit within the trailer while being functional outside.  When outside, this fits perfectly between the side table and the awning pole.

VERY nice work.

If you did this with marine grade plywood and poly varnish, it might be a good base for a fish cleaning station/bar.

Awesome! Next time I'm at Home Depot I'm going to have to look for those sawhorse legs. Are they sold as part of a complete sawhorse - or just the legs?

They're from a complete sawhorse, I just scavenged the legs.

If you didn't want to make the square slots for the legs, you could just as easily bolt them to the sides, it would just take a little longer to set up / take down.

Great work.  I'm looking at the 6.0 as a possible buy, and will definitely be using your idea for a kitchen.  Looks perfect.  Well designed and built.
