I have a lock for my trailer tongue, but have also wondered about wheel chock locks.  Does anyone have a strong opinion pro or con on these units?  There are many styles available, and I'm wondering if this is necessary, given the tongue lock I'm using.  Thanks.

Locking your tongue is more than I do, although I do keep my trailer in a gated storage yard. I wouldn't do any more than lock the tongue.

Living in Philly, I was used to seeing cars booted and always kept "The Club" on my car before I had a garage. . I liked the idea for my camper. I think it look formidable enough to have someone just go for easier pickings. I have not used a tongue lock.

I personally don't use wheel locks, partly because those jaw style wheel locks are only good if you also have a locking lug nut (if I'm not mistaken).
I use this http://amzn.to/2cdjQar and more often just a simple lock through the closed latch on the coupler. The advantage with the larger lock is that the bolt thickness is large enough a simple pair of bolt cutters won't be able to get through it. Yet, any lock is only a deterrent for the lazy and the honest, so I tend to keep my security simple.

I am not sure why I did it but I do have a locking lug nut from my jeep on the trailer. I think the size is the biggest deterrent. Not that there is a big market for stolen QS6, but my hope is that they will go for something that looks easier.

Agreed...thats why i say locks only stop the lazy and the honest. If someone wants it there is little that can be done to actually stop the theft. To me the idea is to make it such a long process to steal it that the theft either gets caught in the act, or just doesnt want to bother with it.

I do have the lock for the hitch.  It's seems substantial enough.  Thanks for the input.
