We recently bought a Pop Up Gizmos for our QS 8.0.  We are planning our first trip with it to see some of the National Parks in southern Utah.  Do those of you that have Gizmos remove the bungees when storing the Gizmos or do you leave them on?  This thing is huge so any advice you may have in the installation/removal would be helpful!

I'm curious as well. And please report about how they work on your trip.

I have only used my gizmo a couple times. I do take the bungees off. Maybe you can try it and leave them on. It could get messy that's why I take them off.

My only tip I have for installing the gizmo is to keep a good part of it folded up then throw it over the  middle of the camper. Once it's laying over the middle top with two people on each side then you will unfold it completely.

Hope that makes sense. It's  just easier to toss over the top folded up.

We like ours. It does help with the sun beating down on the top.

We have noticed a big difference when we have used our gizmos this year. Still trying to figure out the best method for putting them on when we set up. We have tried putting it on top of the canvas before we lifted the poles and canvas and it worked but was not the easiest to keep it from slipping off to the side. Usually the wife holds her end in place and I slide the rest in place as I have the height. That seems to work the best so far. I do like the idea of keeping some folds in place and pitching it over the top. As for the cords we leave ours attached and just loop them and loosely tie them in bundles.

Looking forward to hearing how others do this and what works. The goal is to video record the setup one time if I can 1)remember the video cameras 2) remember that I remembered to actually bring them.
