Hi everyone

We live in northern California and purchased a used qs 10.

we have used it twice, once in 35 degree weather ;)

we really like it.

so far our mod has been to add 3 inch memory foam to the beds (which really worked out well).

I want to do these things:

add an awning (we have none) mostly for a bit of shade and light rain protection. I amthinking of purchasing a silnylon or similar lightweight tarp material and a long zipper to se to it, with the idea to zip it to the factory location. Anybody know the length and zipper size required by any chance?

     modify the water system
The factory sink pump is poor and leaks. Thinking of replacing it with a pressurized system. Flowjet from water reservoir to pump with a diverter valve to outside bulkhead for shower connection.anybody done this?
Thanks folks

Hey and welcome to the forum from another QS 10.0 owner.

I dont have the details on the zipper because we choose to just go with a 10x10 canopy shelter system. We figured that would avoid stress to the camper itself, plus it would let us move it around as needed.

As for the pressurized water system...funny you should mention it. I did exactly what you were thinking. Here is a basic post about it: http://www.livinlite-owners.com/thread/1635/added-new-luxury-10 but I plan to do a YouTube video and blog article on it soon.
Keep an eye out here on the forum and the [a href="http://www.livinthelitelife.com/category/diy/"]BLOG [/a] for a full write up, but in the meantime I'm happy to answer any questions.

welcome!

We bought our QS10.0 last june but we had rented one the previous year to try the experience. Both times up on the June Lake loop in the high sierras.  Next week i'm taking it(her) to the Anza Borrego state park.

I found a good deal on an EZ Up 10 x10. It's pretty nice. I've yet to order side panels for it but will . The stock awning is complicated and I don't care for the guy lines that want to trip me!

The sink I've yet to tackle. I do know that the stock blue plastic tank needs a thorough flush out. But, we did use the sink for dishes and teeth brushing.

Thanks guys!
Sean, your blog is great. I subscribed to it. The video was helpful.
I hope to be able to contribute to this site over time ;)

So I just posted a short video describing my pump install that I'll link to at the end of this post. I also plan to have a blog article written and posted by 9am eastern tomorrow. I figure I'd give a sneak peak here:
