My wife and I used the sink for dishwashing and teeth brushing. After cleaning out the blue water tank I might use it as well. So far we just put a bucket under the drain last summer, under the QS 10.0. Not very elegant..  I looked at the oil change containers. The bigger one looks good. Also the Tote N stor 11 gallon looks nice but can I hook up a tiny length hose to it?

another question:
Can you hook a hose right to the sewer at campsites with grey/black water sewer hookups? We stay for a week at such an RV park.   ...would you use a regular hose to sewer cap thingie?   Does it need a valve to keep fumes from coming into the trailer? Does it need a tank then valve to empty it...and does that have to be up high for gravity purposes?

I dint know what a blue water tank is, so I can't help there.

Sewer connections require a hose. It is a special type of hose, somewhat misleadingly referred to as a "sewer hose". These are standardized around the sewer application, so are "regular" within the sewer hose domain.  Is by "regulat hose" you meant a gatden hose, then "no".

There is a valve involved. It is the one (two, actually, if you have separate black and grey tanks) on your trailer. You do NOT leave either of them open. When camping with "full hookups" you do everything the same, except you are already at the dump station. When the tank is full, you dump by opening the valve, and close it after dumping. Repeat as necessary.

Before you ask: No, you cannot take 30 minute showers by leaving the grey dump valve open full time.

Well, you CAN, but you should not.

If you don't have holding tanks, you are in the bucket business. The bucket is your tank.

I came up with a solution to this problem. Not perfect but worked last time we camped with full hook ups. I will post a picture when I get it out of the trailer. I took something like this. http://www.rvautoparts.com/Valterra-Soft-Sewer-Sponge-Ring-3-F02-4600_p_10286.html?gclid=CMiW9Yia6MsCFQKTaQod96UFqA  Added a top to it glued on and 4 screws to secure it. Drilled a hole for the hose bib to go through it. Added a 90 fitting to make it flow better. Then bought a hose to be just for gray discharge from the sink. I haven't had any problems with odor. I might go with a bigger line to increase flow sink runs slow right now. For no sewer line camping I use another blue water jug marked gray water and simply set it under the drain coming out of the trailer.

thanks Larry. That gives me some ideas.
