Off Road Retrofit Possible?

Hi LLCF,
I am looking at purchasing a used 8.1 and want to upgrade it for off road use. Can this be done easily? Has anyone here done this? I plan on taking it down some "bad" roads...

Hey and welcome.

To my knowledge no one has done a specific upgrade to their existing campers. However moving to an "off road" package should be relatively simple. Depending on your needs you could replace the axle and springs with upgrades, this would give you the added height and ability to accept larger wheels and tires. I would think you could even talk to LL directly and order the same parts directly from them if you dont want to deal with sourcing them on your own. I think the 8.1 should be able to accept the upgrade without any real modification other than the axle/suspension, but again thats just an assumption.
