[p]I have read the threads concerning wood cabinet doors for the CampLite travel trailers.  Does this apply to just the CampLite models or to the Quicksilver models too?[/p][p]
[/p][p]Thank you.[/p]

I think you are reading the stories of the toy hauler rear doors. I have a quicksilver and there is no wood in anything I can find. The cabinets are aluminum and plastic composite.

Actually I am talking about the cabinet doors.

As I understand it LivinLite was bought out by a larger RV company (Thor). In the CampLite section of this forum, there has been considerable discussion about a production change to wood cabinet doors since the acquisition.  The reasons for such have been aesthetic appeal to a wider market and cost-cutting/cost-saving measures. This change has been confirmed by a representative from the "new" LivinLite.

When asked if someone could special order a CampLite with the "old" aluminum cabinet doors with either aluminum or composite panels the response has been vague ranging from "not sure" to "the factory isn't accepting special orders at this time".

I do not want wood cabinet doors and have been exploring other LivinLite or "non-LivinLite" options that have an aluminum frame and aluminum or composite panel door. I really am sold on LivinLite's method of construction of the frame, walls and roof, so the purpose of my question was to find out for new VRVs whether or not the cabinet doors would be wood as they apparently are going to be for the CampLite line of travel trailers.

They look like particle board covered with contact paper.  Does anyone know for sure what they are made of??  We were planning to order a 21rbs right after the first of the year....now not so sure.[/quote]Chris, LL is producing their Bearcat line with aluminum cabinets. I know they are making a 21 BHS in this line and would suspect they are doing the 21 RBS too. This is a picture I took of their toy hauler and the sales rep who did the tour with me said they were making this line in standard campers too. I have also seen pictures in another post of the 21BHS Bearcat at a dealer in Oregon. Think it was the cabinet door post done by Tinkeringtechie.
