$8.00 Step Fix

The " drop " from the door to the step is 11". It is quite a drop to negotiate, especially when holding something. Standard step heights are 7 1/4" to 8". In order to " pick up  " the three inches, I simply built the step shown here. I also bought the abrasive strips at Lowe's. Total cost was under $8.00 and it took very little time to fabricate. Of course, I wish I could have fabricated it out of aluminum, but wood is my medium. Simply screw from below through the slots in the existing step. It can easily fold up, as usual
