Leaking Canvas & Seam Sealer Didn't Work

Hi all,

My wife and I recently bought a 2015 QS10 from a couple and are having some issues with water leaking. Right now the only issue is with the exterior seams over the beds and the velcro/support bar along that edge. The first night we camped in it we had a nasty but short-lived thunderstorm roll in and create a couple of puddles underneath the velcro attachment points on the edges. We contacted the previous owners and they claimed to never have any issues with water leaking in during storms. Then I found this forum (you all rock and have a lot of useful information!) and I saw that a number of people had issues with this year's canvas. After reading the threads, it seemed that seam sealer would be the best option for us to try. We waited for the tent to dry and then applied seam sealer, waited, and then tested it with the hose. The good news is that it doesn't appear to be leaking on the velcro anymore; the bad news is that it still seems to be leaking along the seam/support bar. Has anyone else had any issues similar issues? Does anyone have any ideas about what else I could try? Are there any recommendations about where to have the support poles to reduce seam stretching? We're leaving to live out of our QS10 for the summer while we figure out where we want to land next and would love to have this issue solved before we take off!

Hey and welcome.
What kind of seam sealer did you use, and is it leaking from the treated areas or has the leak now moved to untreated seams?

We used a seam sealer from the local hardware store that's intended for tents/boat covers/etc. I don't have the name of it with me right now. I treated the entire length of the seams on the outer edges and specifically focused on the areas around the velcro attachments. When we first noticed that it was leaking, all of the wet areas were beneath the velcro. Now it doesn't seem to be leaking there but along the seams towards the corners.
