QuickSilver General Q & A / questions about possible buyin...

[font size="3"]I cannot advise on the price but I can warn you that this forum will disappear in 1-2 days. Thor/Livinlite has withdrawn their corporate support. Most members of this forum are moving to [a href="http://aluminiumcamperforum.com/"]http://aluminiumcamperforum.com/[/a]. You should post your question there where many QS owners can help you.

The two Hondas should run the AC. I think it's a 5-9K BTU unit so one Honda might do it.

QuickSilver General Q & A / questions about possible buyin...

ok so i found a 2015 QS 8.0 at a dealer not all that far from me.    i looked at it today and have a few questions on what a good price for it would be...

its a basic 8.0 with a/c and an awning.,  i believe thats the only options it has...

it is raining out today so that was good..  there were no leaks.  the int looked decent.  needed some cleaning is all...

we noticed that there were a few snaps torn out of the canvass.   the table that clips on the outside was kinda busted up and missing the bottom support..  a couple of scuffs on the side under where the table would clip on and one dent in the rear panel above and centered between the tail lights.   not a huge dent ot anything that is structural.  just cosmetic.   other then that it seemed ok...

it also had two Fan / Light units..    look like they were made for it..

so the dealer says they will fix the snaps/canvass on the front and back of it and replace the outside table and support.

they will let it go for $6400 out the door (original price was 7400 and change out the door with nothing repaired)..  thats the trailer, the canvass fixed, the table replaced, set up fee (they go over the entire thing and make sure everything is working and things like that and demo it for me), tax, tags and doc fees..

is this a decent price?    is there anything else i need to look for?

down the road if i needed new canvass what does it cost for new canvass and where would you buy it?

do that make mattress covers for the stock mattresses?

i have two little Honda EU2000i 2000W Generators with a parallel kit that allows me to plug a 30amp rv style plug into it..  wikk they be enough to run the a/c?

thansk in advance for the help...

hey, my names joe.  last year we bought a subaru outback..    i'm stuck only being able to tow 2700 pounds.     i have been looking around for a lighter weight trailer that will work for me and the family..  i've narrowed it down to the QS 8.0 or the SylvanSport GO.    there are things i really like about both of them but in the end it seems the QS is th eway to go for us..   so i'm here to find out as much as i can before dropping the coin onone..

Man, I stayed up late, and without drinking, on New Year's Eve, just so I could be last, and it didn't happen !!

When I saw that Sean was the latest person posting, I thought - here comes bad news. I was right, only a few days left, maybe only tomorrow. Last post not so funny now. Busy day for me. If I don't get back before LL pulls the plug, I just want everyone to know this board has been great.

Thanks for the sizing. I'll be going by a Walmart tomorrow on my way home from work. I'll pick one up then. Funny how I have all kinds of tools yet for this camper I have to keep buying little things like this socket.

My next tool will be a 4 way lug wrench for the wheels. I don't have one of those yet either.  :)

You don't need. The crank for the stab jacks is the same size as the lug nuts. 3/4". At least it is on my 14dbs.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a breaker bar for removing and a torque wrench for reinstalling. Harbor Freight is a good place to get these (and the socket, for that matter).
