Rolling over onto the cold aluminum bed frame of my 8.1 in the middle of night to use the facility can lead to screams or at least the thought of them. I solved the problem by doubling up a bath towel, tucking it under the bed and leaving it hang over the edge.

My snaps seemed to be getting a little harder so I started to look for lube. A light bulb went off, what is primarily needed is wax. I reached into my pocket pulled out chap stick right size to go over the snap, no mess and really easy to apply and available everywhere.

I added brakes to my Quicksilver 8.1. I know many on the forums say they aren't needed. I believe they allowed me to take my 5 week long trip last summer. I was just a couple of days into the trip when a deer jumped out in from of us. Even if it was just a few feet difference in stopping that is how much I missed the deer.
