As far as greasing the bearings, I would think always a good idea, but be sure to clean excess grease. The guys that installed my electric brakes said a common problem they saw was people greasing way more than needed, and all the excess grease going all over the brakes. You can't just give a few pumps and be done. 
I'm no expert but this makes sense to me. 

We had the same problems with ours when we first got it, and the seam didn't "seal up" either. I complained to the dealer and Livinlite, and eventually got a new tent. They told me they changed manufacturers, and the new one does not leak at all. You might want to go this route?

Another thought - I just replaced a couple of snaps on my tent. I bought and used some zip lube, and also used it on the snaps. What a difference. If you're having zipper problems I would highly recommend buying some. Its available online, and more than likely at your favorite rv dealer (oxymoron).

I have the hard copy and just downloaded the owners manual for the 10.0, which we own. I did not skim through it tonight, but pretty sure it tells (near the end) how to take the tent off for storage, and how to put it back on. the link for the manual is here:

We have yet to use the sink either, and it is a great place to store small stuff. Even when I have hooked it up to city water it isn't really worth it. Its just me - if its there, it should work. That said, much easier to have a gallon jug of water to make coffee on a cold morning and such. Other than the sink, love the camper. Bought it in March and have been in it almost as much as we have been home. Great summer.

I made this mistake and got lucky. I'm sharing because I sure don't want it to happen to anyone else! Most, if not all of you, aren't as dumb as me, but if you are, please heed this advice!
My wife and I started to set up our 10.0 in the driveway. The reason was so I could work on the sink - I've never been able to get the faucet to work from the blue tank unless I prime first with city water, which is pretty pointless. So once again, I wanted to fiddle with it. Since it wasn't going to be up for long, we did not go around and fasten all the snaps, just the ones on the corners of the tent. 
Our 1 and 1/2 year old toddler of course climbed inside to help Daddy. He loves the camper. My wife went inside the house. Soon he was jumping on one of the beds as usual while I had my head buried under the sink. The next thing I hear is "Daddy, help!" I looked up and his butt was completely out of the end of the tent, where it should have been snapped. Arms, legs, head and torso still inside, so he was wedged in there pretty good. I got very lucky. If he would have gone feet first, or head first, he would have slipped right out and landed on the concrete. 
Again, I'm sure most of you would have the foresight to prevent this, but I didn't. Hope this prevents even one bruised toddler, and it will be worth sharing.

Great post, great idea, great explanation! I have replaced my faucet 3 times (one time the dealer did it) and to date cannot get the little 7 gallon tank under the sink to work unless I first prime it with city water. I assume you do not have this problem with your current pump/setup? I'd really like to do this project as i don't like the idea of carrying water under there with all those electronics, and having an outside source seems so much easier. We don't really use the sink inside at all, but it sure would be nice to have. I am now thinking about posting the problem I have just to see if others have had the same problem, but wanted to know if yours worked before you installed your new setup?
