Title: New Camplite 6.8C hauling with a 2013 F150
Post by: wvabeer on April 14, 2015, 05:26:55 PM
All I can say that is bad is so far is the porch lights suck and the A/C is very loud. After three porch lights they are sending me a nicer one that I will have to wire up with a switch. I will just have to deal with the A/C.

Dagummit, another new member who has enough - nay, dare I say it, a surfeit (I won't say too much) of tow vehicle.

Where do they come from ?

Our AC is loud. The AC on both trailers we rented was the same AC. Loud.

I called LivinLite they gave me the number for the ac manufacturer I called. The man said if you have the six blade model they can sell you a three blade and will reduce the sound by 6 /8 decibels.

You must have good eyes to count them as they go around. For me it's all a blur and I lose count between 1 and 2.

wvabeer, we have the 9.2 BTU model and it is loud, always the loudest in the campground. Also, about the 6 to 3 blade change:

1. do you know if it also applies to the 9.2?
2. would the reduction of 6-8 dB make the change worth it?
3. would the blade change make the unit less effective in cooling (need the power for Texas summers :)?

6 to 8 db is alot I am hoping LL will get me one. And by the way more blades don't make more air. Pitch and horsepower gives you air.

I replaced the fan blade to a three blade and can say its half as loud. I also got tired of the factory sending me those CHEAP PORCH LIGHTS!!! They paid me 120 for my trouble of replacing those lights and I used the money to put what I wanted on there, a motion activated porch light. I had to change some wiring and ad a wall switch which livin lite gave me.
