Hello everyone,
We are new here and have decided to purchase a livin lite travel trailer soon; so happy that we found this forum (thank you!) We are new at this whole camper business, we have 2 boys so we will all get to enjoy the camper. We are thinking of ordering a new 21RBS with alum cabinets (allergies) but having kids, and not wanting to bring too many clothes, I would like to ask if anyone here has considered installing a w/d combo unit in their camper.
Thanks!
Welcome to the forum. We're glad to have you and glad you're considering the 21RBS. I'm partial to that model since I've got one too.
I've not heard of anyone putting a w/d in a Camplite, but the all aluminum construction would certainly be an advantage. However, most campgrounds have clothes washing facilities and, unless you are at a campground with hookups, you won't have the water and sewer facilities for the washer or electric capacity for the dryer. And in the space required you can pack a heck of a lot of clothes with a lot less weight.
With the two kids you might consider the 21BHS with the two bunks. You might not need the aluminum faced cabinets. The Azdel used for the interiors is a non organic, non molding composite that is good for allergy/asthma sufferers. Number one consideration for my wife. Either way you'll be very happy with the Camplite. Let us know how you progress.

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the welcome and the words of wisdom. I am in the same boat as your wife, that's why I thought alum over azdel, so it's good to know that we can do azdel. We are getting ready to make our *wish* list and are reading some of the posts here regarding mods, we especially liked your list :-) and the rear view camera, awesome idea! If you have any more suggestions we would very much appreciate it.
Thanks again :-). Can't wait!

That was our choice.
The bunks will be handy for our grandkids - not to mention our dogs may stake out territory there.
Does give up the bathroom sink and some space there, but everything's a tradeoff spacewise I suppose.
Oh, and welcome - I think a lot of us feel like pioneers here!
