Title: Greetings from Central Florida
Post by: missmary on January 20, 2015, 09:25:10 PM
After a long process of research trying to determine whether to get a Class A, B or C and what brand and type, last Spring my wife and I purchased a white 14DB, off road, black out.  Picked it up at the factory and glad we did. Got to see the build  process and enjoyed meeting with Don N at LL.

We took the 14DB on a 12500 mile trip this Summer from Florida to Montana and it confirmed for us that we need to do this several months out of the year.

We live in Central Florida and love the Western US, particularly Montana and Wyoming.

Looking forward to learning from all of the great Members and contributions.

Attached is a picture of our 14DB after the trip.  I wash and wax it often.

Thank you DJ.

Nice report and great pictures.

If I get ambitious, I will post a report.  We were out over 4 months and so we had a few issues, however, none were major and LL has been very helpful in addressing my concerns.  Still very pleased with our 14DB.  We had it loaded down with food and gear for months of travel and it pulled great.   Averaged 12.5 MPG with a full load.   Off Road package was very helpful and the trailer remained watertight through many a downpour.

Biggest takeaway from trip:  ask the locals about dispersed camping. Some of the best spots, free of charge.

Welcome, nice looking rig.. Wife and I started out 4 years ago looking at getting a Class A or C. It's a long (possibly similar) story, suffice to say, we pick up our 21RBS next week.

Where in Central Florida?

Karen and I just left our 21BHS  in Lake Placid just south of Sebring.

May be back down there in a week or so and would not mind touching base if you're somewhere nearby.
