[font size="3"][font face="arial"]Here's my new 2014 21RBS:

I ordered it with the following options:

Exterior color: Medium Charcoal Gray

Exterior blackout trim

U-Shaped Dinette option

Dark Cherry interior with dark trim

XL Living Package ? Includes 14' Awning, Carpeted Floor Mats, Entry Door w/Window & Screen; Int/Ext LED Lighting, A/C Prep, A/V Pkg ? includes AM/FM/CD/Ipod Stereo Sys w/Speakers, Locking TV Swivel Bracket, Int/Ext Cable Hookup, Digital Antenna, 12V/110V Outlets by TV Bracket.

Convection microwave

13,500 Btu A/C

Dual propane tanks

Dual battery carrier for two GC-2 6V golf cart batteries

Spray on floor insulation

Replace gas water heater with gas/electric model – Suburban SW6DE

Add 12V socket above existing 120V outlet in bath.

Add skylight in shower for added headroom

Custom heavy duty bumper per drawing

Black tank flusher

I was very impressed with the cooperation from the factory. Everything reflects excellent engineering, workmanship and quality. Even my requested custom bumper was built to my engineering drawing and built exactly as I envisioned it.

Next I will post and described the mods I have been putting in to get it like we want it.

I'm looking forward to pics of your mods. Would love to see what that skylight looks like too.

That's a very nice color combination.

I can also see the benefit of ordering one exactly as you want it.

I just did a report on our initial impressions of our new 2014 21BHS: http://livinlite.proboards.com/thread/103/camplite-21bhs-first-impressions

Would love to get together to compare notes sometime!

You have some options that are not listed anywhere that I could find on their website.  How does one get the full list of those options?

[font face="arial" size="3"]Funpilot,

First, welcome to our forum. We are just beginning, but the members are enthusiastic and helpful. All of us are new to Camplite since the trailer is relatively new. Many are also new to RVs, but some have considerable experience with other brands and have settled on Livinlite after much research.

That said, Livinlite is different from your average mass market trailer manufacturer. When asked for special options their first response is NOT " if it's not in the catalog we don't do it". They are very receptive to special requests and, within reason, will try to accommodate you albeit at some cost. As such there is a limited published list of options on their web site. Other things have to be asked for and LL, through their dealer, will quote them. This is our second trailer so we had a good idea of what we wanted. The 2 way hot water heater, shower skylight, custom reinforced bumper, dinette option, extra 12V outlets, and dual batteries fall into this category. Some are offered on other Camplite models so they're easy. Others took some engineering but they came out beautifully. In your shopping I would make a list of desired items and don't assume they are not available. When you select a dealer he will have an option sheet from LL as a starting point and help you work with the factory to customize your unit. Of course this requires you to order and wait for a new unit to be built. If your dealer will not work in this manner find another dealer.

I have not heard of water intrusion through the floor, but there was a report of dust intrusion. Several of us ordered the spray on insulation with the thought of sealing the floor against air and dust intrusion. The general conclusion is the coating is not effective and does not provide worthwhile thermal insulation. Therefore I recommend against this $1000 option. That said I have not had or heard of any problem with water intrusion. The new flooring should fully seal the floor, as did the 7/8" rubber yoga mat floor I installed. The rubber floor also provides considerable thermal insulation.

I hope this helps you in your search. We are all here to help new and old campers in our Camplite world.
