Title: Folding tent down Pt 2
Post by: dp on October 21, 2014, 03:20:01 PM
Hey guys, I just watched the video on Livinlite.com. It shows Scott T folding down a tent. What I never knew was he leaves the door unzipped on one side. Looks like it made it easier. Am I the only one that never did this before. I always had it zipped up. Maybe that is why I had so much trouble.

But, when it shows him setting it up the door is zipped on both sides, ha. Oh well.

I've tried it both zipped and unzipped, and concluded that zipped works better. Unzipped, the door flap can get caught up in the bars in some awkward position. It didn't seem to hurt anything, but on balance it just seems better if the whole tent is symmetrical. My reasoning was always that there is no door on the opposite side.

I usually have it rolled up when I take down my tent. I don't really pay any attention either way.
