Title: Winter storage
Post by: dp on September 28, 2014, 03:24:58 PM
I will keep my 10.0 in the unheated garage this winter. I am not going to take the tent off. There will be some cold nights in Chicago area winter. Do you think all will be fine when I open this back up in March? 5 months is a long time to be closed up but does it really matter?

You can put some Damprid or Dri-z-air those products help removing moisture. I am going to store my camplite in an unheated indoor storage too.

It will be fine. I keep mine outside during winter and summer, covered with a tarp and an A-frame to shed water and let some air underneath the tarp. If you put it up dry, it should be fine.

I'm with subaruwx on this. I store mine outside all year long with a carport style shelter to give it some cover. Make sure its dry when its put away and I dont think you will have any trouble at all. I dont take the tent material off either. If you are real worried you could put one of those Damprid products but I dont think its worth it since the unit will be exposed to the moisture in the air no matter what.
