Post by: walt3 on September 12, 2014, 07:00:31 PM
I have a 2011 10.0 and it has the aluminum bracket for a battery. What size battery and what battery box are some of yall using?

Your battery most likely is a series 24 battery, 12 volts at about 80 AH. The battery boxes can be found at any auto supply store, or probably Wally World. Make sure you connect it properly with the correct polarity.

[p]Thanks! Thought it would be a 24. Haven't found a battery box in person to measure. All of the measurements online have the lid as the outside measurements. [/p]

The only problem you might have is the base of the box not fitting in the aluminum rack. When LL made my 21RBS I asked for a dual battery rack. They provided it, but it was just a bit too small to accommodate two battery boxes. I'm going to rebuild the rack with aluminum angle stock; it's just bolted on. No big deal and you can make the size you want it. Maybe more or different batteries depending on your style of camping.

I used a 27 with the standard box for it. The width fit fine, but I had to cut the ends off of the battery rack to fit lengthwise. I like it. It seems to do just fine and I get about 200Ah (theoretically) out of it.
