Anybody here use a Quickbite Coupler? Supposedly you don't need a backup camera on your tv, and it supposedly is safer than standard ball coupler on tts.
The airstream forums have some nice discussions on this coupler. Start here and be sure to click the links that are in the threads:

I had never heard of that.
Cool!
A video is worth a gazillion words:

Fortunately, our Flex has a backup camera, making it pretty easy to get alignment with the hitch ball pretty simple.
Still, a clever concept.
I've been looking at the collar coupler instead of the old-school coupler these come with. Does anyone have any experience with replacing a camplite's coupler - is it just a bolt-on?

Has anyone had problems with their coupler on their Livin Lite product? Perhaps I am looking at an improvement that isn't needed?

The standard coupler works fine on the LivinLites.

That doesn't work for the CLs. Due to a screw up on my part I had to replace the coupler on my 21RBS. The replacement from LL had to be drilled. The coupler bolts on from the top. Do not drill through the sides of the frame. I don't have experience with the model you linked, but it looks like it too would have to be drilled from the top. No guarantees. The factory coupler works fine if you don't overdue the WDH settings.

my one trailer blooper came from a new trailer that did not have the ball retaining plate on the lever set correctly - I've got a permanent scar on my bumper when the trailer popped off and rammed the car - the collar lock is far more reliable. Good info though on not being able to do a simple replace - I'll just have to make sure that lower plate is set correctly before we pull out.

[/p][p]I inquired about replacing with a collar style, and so far they've said the hole patterns are different, can't be done without drilling into the frame.[/p][p]
[/p][p]The dealer adjusted the wedge, and a warranty replacement coupler is on the way. But I would FAR prefer a collar-lock. Can't not be adjusted.[/p][p]

[/p][p]I have been unsuccessful sourcing an alternative.
