Title: New from North Carolina
Post by: johnny9k on July 13, 2014, 10:38:04 PM
Hello!!!! Just found this forum today!

We purchased a 2010 CampLite 11RD Travel Trailer a few years ago. Camp mostly in the Carolinas. Just got back from a camping trip last week at Mount Pisgah NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Really like the durability and ease towing the 11RD with our Nissan Frontier. We head to the NC mountains in the summer and South Carolina in the winter. Like to camp in the NC foothills, too.

Welcome!

Looks like you've been having lots of fun. I'm just south of Raleigh myself and cant wait to get out and explore more of our state. I'm in a QuickSilver pop up but have to admit I like the ease of use for the CampLites :)

Thanks for the Welcome!!!!!

I like LivinLite campers, too!!!!!!  We head down to Hunting Island SC SP during November or December. Like camping @ Lake Wateree SC SP & Stone Mountain NC SP during the spring & fall. When it's hot in the lower elevations, we like camping on Mount Pisgah on the BRP @ 5000' elevation. It only got up to 80F for a high temp last week and down in the 50s at night. No AC needed.

Hopefully as this group grows, the group can get together for a "LivinLite Rally"!

Was that last picture posted somewhere else before?  I'm sure I've seen that someplace else.

Think this is the first place I posted this group of Mount Pisgah photos. The Devil's Courthouse on the BRP is photographed quite a bit! The Sunset shot I took at Hunting Island SC is on a few forums.

So happy I found this forum to post camping shots!!!!!

Going to camp @ South Mountains NC SP soon. They just made many improvements there with the addition of showers.

Sorry, I meant the last picture of the first group you posted; the picture of the person sitting at the lake from Bandits Roost, NC.  That one I would bet I've seen before, unless I am experiencing deja vu!  Perhaps it was posted on the LivinLite Yahoo group?

Not on the Yahoo forum, but posted this photo on the pop-up forum and possibly one other forum. We used to own a Chalet pop-up before buying the CampLite and went to the "Darkside" as they say on the pop-up forum when we purchased a TT. We attended the NC Spring pop-up rally earlier this year with the CampLite.  We owned the CampLite when I took that shot with my Wife sitting in the chair, last summer.

Must have seen it on one of those sites. It stood out because it is a perfect example of how relaxing camping can be.

Seeing your pictures from Pisgah brought back memories from the Sunday drives I used to take when I lived up there in Waynesville. Thanks for posting them  :)
