Took the cover off the battery box this morning and saw I had a visitor. It was about 52 degrees, guess he was looking for a warm place.

NO, NO, NO!!!! I dont like snakes and recently I've gotten better with them as long as we give each other space. With that said, if I had one pop up like that there would be a lot of clean up to do. I'll just leave it at that ;)
I usually seem to find wasps in there--tough call but I think I'd rather see a snake!

Surprisingly, not too far. We have Coral snakes, cotton mouths and rattlesnakes, but I think when I immediately saw it was not one of those, I didn't react too bad. If it was, there would have been extensive remediation required.
Not nearly as scary, but when I recently pulled out my rear battery for replacement there were about 8 stink bugs having a grand old time underneath the battery!
