This is my first post.
I'm looking to get outfitted with my first camper on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma V6.
Camplite truck campers have caught my eye. I'm in Northern California and looking to do winter and summer camping around the pacific northwest.
The nearest camplite dealership to me is 150 miles away. I'm hoping to pick up some ideas here on what to look for before contacting a dealer.
Any ideas on a model that would be good for my Tacoma? I want basic amenities, no toilet/shower necessary. Heater and AC a must.
Thanks yal
Kwitch
If you are really looking for a truck camper I'm afraid there is no current Camplite model for your Tacoma. The Camplite 6.8, the smallest available, has an unloaded weight of 1870# which is ~500# over the Tacoma payload rating. That's empty with no supplies or passengers on board. There were some small popup type truck campers that may be available used. A small towed trailer might be a better option.
