Title: Question: QS 6.0 A/C Changeout
Post by: trw29 on October 01, 2016, 04:11:34 PM
I have a 2014 6.0 with the 5000 BTU Frigidaire A/C. I want to pull it out and replace it with the Frigidaire 5000 BTU unit that has a remote control. My question is what is the process for removing the current unit?

Also are there any mods that might make a A/C unit in a 6.0 more efficient?

Thanks,

TRW

Is your unit on slides at that point or hard mounted?
In general the AC unit should simply be bolted down and easily removed. A few bolts and the whole unit should pop right out.
In the end it should be an easy upgrade assuming the units are about the same size.

See if the chassis size of the ac is the same as a higher btu unit.
