What do you use for a Quicksilver 6.0 winter storage cover? A quick perusal of the Interwebz yielded very few options for such a small box. [a href="http://www.adcoprod.com/Universal-RV-Covers/Pop-Up-Trailer-RV-Covers"]ADCO[/a] and [a href="https://classicaccessories.com/rv-pp3-folding-camping-trailer-cover"]Classic Accessories[/a] make covers for popups under 8', but the dimensions (96" x 85") are still quite a bit larger than the QS 6.0 box. [a href="http://www.etrailer.com/RV-Covers/Camco/CAM45760.html?feed=npn&gclid=CjwKEAjwjqO_BRDribyJpc_mzHgSJABdnsFWZMBn42avKbIB_yqZZYH1qUHHk_qDGlsfi1x2OzqIfBoCF1Lw_wcB"]Camco[/a] makes one for a 6'-8' trailer, but I couldn't find the actual dimensions of it (they give height and width?).
Seems like a trip to home depot would yield a few 2x4's and sawhorse hardware, then hey! Off to harbor freight for tarps.
I put three pool noodles on it and wrapped in a tarp. Actually lay out tarp, push QS6 onto it and then wrap over body. QS6 is completely covered. Last winter had three feet of snow in one storm, QS6 dry and no problems in spring.

Not ever. Looked the same as when i gift wrapped it.
Was told by a trailer owner if you place Downey dryer sheets in the trailer when closing up it will keep mice out. Has anyone else heard of this.
People on popup portal said that if there are holes and mice get in they use the dryer sheets for their nest.
In my experience mice dont care if its a trailer or your house if they find shelter or food they will take advantage of it. I've had mice chew up all sorts of items for their nest and I dont see how a dryer sheet would be any different. The biggest deterrent for mice in my experience is to remove their desire to be in the area. In other words remove any easy access to shelter, and remove any sources of food. At that point they are most likely going to ignore the area.
Thanks for the input. I never leave any sort of food stuff or soft material in the trailer when I go to store it and have never had an issue in the past.

Got it for $75 at walmart.
It has worked very well. Way better than every tarp solution I experimented with.
HOWEVER, get some gorilla tape or similar and stick it over every sharp corner/edge you find on your camper first.
When we had our 6.0 I removed the canvas, cushions and mattresses during the winter. Only items left out were aluminum and plastic.
Did you take out the couch as well? We are getting ready to put our 6.0 through its first Winter hibernation, and are still figuring out exactly what to do. I was going to take the tent and mattress out, but hadn't though much about the couch.
My QS is an 8.0, so I needed one a little larger. This is what I purchased via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L2JRKT6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I don't believe that they make a 6 footer. It is long enough to also cover the hitch. So far, I'm happy with it. I like that it has breathing ports. I also use a Davis low amp air dryer inside for winter/outdoor storage, made for RVs. It is very low in amp draw, so it doesn't get all that hot inside - just stays dry. They make two levels, I believe. For the rats/mice, I always had two traps in my VW Vanagon, which is prone to having rat problems. This, after I spent many hours shutting off all possible entrances for the critters to pursue.
I went with an ADCO 8' cover (https://www.amazon.com/ADCO-12290-Trailer-Aqua-Cover/dp/B001FCC3VQ). It is a little loose on the QS 6.0, but the 3 straps pull the bottom tight around the trailer. I'm now putting it in the covered woodshed and we will see how Winter treats our little trailer. Granted, we live near Seattle, where it is wet but not very cold.

I purchased the Savyy Craft folding tent camper cover. It is for 8 to 10 foot trailers, mine being the Quicksilver 8'. I did hear back from a member awhile back about the Camco 6' to 8' cover being large enough to cover the trailer and the hitch. This is what I do with my Savvy Craft cover. I live north of Seattle, where it rains a lot, and, so far, am pleased with this purchase. This is my first winter with the Quicksilver, so I'll know more when I remove the cover in the spring. As for mice/rats, I'm a recovering Vanagon Westfalia owner, so I know about these critters, though I did not have problems. Most owners do. I did button up or screen any opening that looked like a good entryway for these guys. The best way to keep them from doing harm is to make sure that there are no openings for entrance. I also would suggest keeping one or two traps inside during the winter, and checking on them occasionally. I would also like to know if other Quicksilver owners have had problems, and if there are any openings that are particularly vulnerable.
