Title: Lagun Table
Post by: idlerockfarm on September 20, 2016, 11:16:25 PM
I really, really think Quicksilver 6.0's should come with a [a href="http://www.laguncockpittablemount.com/"]Lagun table mount[/a] (also a [a href="https://youtu.be/UAjLjp9hG_E"]video[/a]) to the left of the couch.  Using the floor-mounted table is just awkward, and a height adjustable bar is pricey just to have something stuck in the middle of the floor.  I'd love to talk to someone at the factory sometime about why that style of table isn't used.

Also, I want to know if there is some reason why I should not put one in myself?  I am not a builder, or handy, but I WANT that table to be mounted out of my limited floorspace.  Training myself on installation is just YouTube and asking on the T@b forum (many T@b owners retrofitted their units to have the newer table style); however, I can't worst-case scenario the installation with my limited knowledge.  Help?!

Idlerockfarm - thanks for this info. My table broke within a week and I have postponed replacing it. This looks like a great option. I assume the $160 price is why we have not seen it as a standard.

Installation on a QS 6  looks like a mounting plate (  metal or wood) inside of the bin under the sofa, then bolt in place. Maybe I am missing key component. I was thinking the support plate going down to floor level to add strength.

There is the expensive of a top. I do not need the beautiful wood folding model.
I also like the ability to sit on the sofa with my legs on sofa to use with MacBook. I wonder if it would swing far enough to use AC cabinet as a seat. This would make traveling with a dog or toddler ( in my case both) so much easier. That post in the center is really restricting.

My only complaint is that you put this in my mind as I am thinking about fall and closing the camper up in a couple of months. I will need to be reminded before any big trips next spring.

I'll remind you next spring. I was thinking the mounting gear would have to go next to the converter (is there room?).  And I sit on the bunk end above the AC all the time. Hadn't thought of maybe being able to use the table there.

The amount of height relative to how close to the floor the mounting plate goes is something I'd need to see IRL.

I was VERY disappointed with the broken table setup. This is the route I'll go to make travel with the dog go better. No toddler for me, but I bring a friend occasionally and floorspace is at a premium.

This mod will make me very happy, I predict.

I've seen[a href="https://www.reimo.com/en/D-camping_shop/DW-van_conversion_parts_accessories/DWR-swivel_table/"] this swiveling table[/a] in a van conversion. A little simpler and cheaper than the Lagun, which is admittedly quite nice.

Nice.  I just want the table to not take up prime floor/dog space.  Nice to see other options.
