I've been seriously looking to purchase a Quicksilver 6.0 or 8.0 for camping. I'm a previous owner of a 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia, which was great fun, and in constant need of work. Hence, my foray into the Quicksilver. I live in the Pacific Northwest, north of Seattle. I've been looking for and calling most every RV dealer recommended by Livin Lite. These campers seem to be difficult to find up here. I don't mind traveling, but have called as far away as Idaho and southern Oregon. I don't mind going through the ordering process, but would love to be able to see one up close and for real before I make up my mind as to which camper is right for me and my wife - the 6.0 or the 8.0. I would love to get some feedback as to where I could take a peek at these campers and, perhaps, a recommendation for a dealer who knows something about these. So far, I've been striking out. Any advice or assistance will be much appreciated.
American RV in Tigard, OR is a current dealer and you can check their inventory online.
Thank you. I had checked with them earlier, with no luck. Now, though, after your suggestion, they have a couple in stock. I'll get down to see them. Thanks, again.
Jeff was the local dealer at the rally a few weeks back. Nice guy, nice family. I am planning on trying him out for service.
They sure are hard to find locally, I drove to Salt Lake City last September to pickup my QS10 but it was worth it. Getting ready for my next trip to the Washington coast coming up soon. Welcome to the forum and hopefully see you at one of the rally's.
I really like my 6.0 for me and my 98lb dog. I didn't ever try setting up an 8.0 to see if I could or wanted to.
One note though, I use my rear deck to give me leverage to lift up the bunk, step down, then walk down the bed on my shoulder. Without the deck I wouldn't be able to do it solo without additional tools.
We have a 2013 8.0 for sale. We live near Boise.
I would be interested in talking to you about your 2013 8.0 for sale. I could send you contact info if you would be willing to send some photos and information.
Sure, I can do that. Send me your email address and I can send some photos. I will see if I can post it under For Sale here on the Forum too.
My wife and I love our 2010 6.0, but if the 8.1 had been available when we bought ours, I think I would have gone with it instead. If just depends on how much "living space" you want.
I just bought and took delivery of the 2013, 8.0, from folks in Boise. So far, so good. I love the design and style of this camper. I'll have some questions, I know, coming up, so I'll be somewhat active here on this forum, which seems to be a wonderful resource.
Congratulations on the new to you Quicksilver!
