Hello group, took our brand new 21RBS on its maiden voyage this weekend. No major issues really, just a few unexpected lessons. The first was that in hindsight, I wouldn't bother making the bed prior to traveling as we ended up with tiny metal shavings all over the bed on both the journey out and back!
I do have another mystery...in the pic below, the switch in the middle is for all of the interior lights, but we could not determine what the one on the left is for. We were hoping it was a battery disconnect, but no luck there. I'm just flabbergasted that it never become obvious, so what's the purpose of this one??

That switch appears new for 2017. It appears to be a 12V rather than 120V switch. Possibly the outside "porch" light. The earlier CLs had that switch on the wall near the door.
BTW, I just looked at the current gallery of 21RBS pictures on the LL web site. They seem to have trouble deciding where the switches should be. I see three on the wall by the door in one picture, but only one in another view. Forest River has a corporate motto: Let no two RPODs be built the same. Thor may be copying them ;) .

Haha, it seems that they are practicing that! Not the porch light; that one along with the other awning-related switches are next to the door.
OK. I guess that means you got the optional power awning and lighting. At one time LL included an illuminated residential style toggle switch for the electric side of the water heater. They recently took it out because it was "unnecessary and confusing" (read cost saving). Maybe they replaced it with your mystery switch. Having that switch was/is very convenient. It saves having to use the little switch in the outside access panel or the circuit breaker to turn off the electric element. I do use it though many people don't.

I sure did, Charlie. Mine has a water heater toggle switch over next to the stove, along with the water pump switch, tank monitoring system and USB ports. You've guessed pretty much all of the gadget switches! The only thing left I can think of would be something to do with the Solar Ready system, although not sure what purpose a switch indoors would have.
Well I give up. With my superior abilities I could probably figure it out, but it might take a week and a wagon full of meters! ;) Just camp on and, whenever something doesn't work, try the switch. Report back when you figure it out.
It might be controlling the storage box lights or the possibility of solar hookup like Shanert75 stated. Does your unit have the power awning? Could it be a switch to turn on the lights on the awning if the unit is equipped with lights?
I had a switch like that on the wall in my apartment. It didn't appear to do anything. One day I just stood there and turned it on an off for 20 minutes.
3 weeks later I got a letter from a lady in Germany.
She said "Cut it out."
Edit: Found it. [a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UB8ZDrNb3B0"]38:50mark[/a]

I was wondering the same thing... my porch light and awning lights are on separate switches and also no next to each other as you would expect normal people to put them.
All of the awning and related light switches are right by the door frame.
Maybe it turns the secret camera to the LL factory on and off...........LOL

Maybe they just screwed up and put an additional switch.
x2 measure12V current with and without the switch on to see if it's drawing anything?
Am I missing something here, it seems your dealer or Livin Lite could tell you what the switch is for. I call Sunny Island RV occasionally with questions and so far they have not been stumped yet.

If I have the VIN number I will see if I can solve this mystery.lol
If it is brand new and has lighted exterior speakers that may also be it.
Lighted exterior speakers? Tell me it isn't true.

That's to go with the musical inflatable animals to be placed around your campsite.
I think I would like to have lighted outdoor speakers! Actually, I would like to have just plain outdoor speakers.
Just think of how many other "amenities" Thor can add once they switch to lower-cost plywood walls and floors.
Just kidding...hopefully!
Our speakers are indeed, lighted!

Nope, it's still a mystery. Taking it out this weekend and hope to figure it out.
So the mystery switch is indeed for the speaker LEDs!
So disco is still alive at Thor. Congratulations
