Today I replaced the stock curtain with an accordion style tracked curtain:

I ordered the taller model so I could cut it to fit a few inches below the ceiling. I started with my miter saw but eventually switched to a Dremel because the miter made one piece chip. Once everything was cut it's just attached with double-stick tape. A quick bead of caulk around the edge and then it's done. Hopefully that will keep the floor dry and store out of the way more easily:
Tell that to LivinLite :) It should have been built with these kind of features if you ask me.
Can you provide details of manufacturer model # website purchased from. This sounds like another good mod. Thanks
Here's the specific one that I ordered:
[a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCUV24/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCUV24/ref=oh_details_o00_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1[/a]
Unfortunately their heights are only 57" or 67". 57" was so short I would be able to peek over the top, and 67" is too tall to fit without modifications. So I bought the 67" and cut it to fit. 36" wide is fine as the stall is only 32" or so.
A little pricey but ... I'm thinking about one of these.
Anybody have one?

Looks cool, but after shipping it comes out to $210 8-|... yikes. I don't think I could pay that much for a shower curtain no matter how cool it is.
Yep thats what I meant as "pricey"... If I could find it with free shipping i'd be more tempted but even then pricey :-)

Thanks for the info!
I bought the same one that tinkeringtechie bought on Amazon. I also cut it down about 3 inches, I used a hack saw with a fine tooth blade and it went thru the end like butter. Just make sure it is nice and snug/tight when you cut it. Mine was strapped down pretty good but my son in law was also holding it tight. Held up very well on my 6 week cross country. That and changing out the shower head made the shower very usable.
Looks great! Good idea! We will probably do that to ours as well once we get it. Also, is there a problem with the shower heads that come from the factory, or is it just a personal preference thing?
[p]This is the shower head that I used, as recommended on this forum http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/bodyspa-rv-shower-kit-white/68324 someone also replaced the shutoff valve with a better one that doesn't have the leak. The small leak while in use didn't bother me.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Also there is a thread on the shower head here http://livinlite-owners.com/thread/228/shower-head-upgrade[/p]
Very impressive! But from someone who hates cleaning showers, I prefer a curtain I can wash in a washing machine or replace inexpensively when needed. But your accordion style definitely looks better.

No more "Bates Hotel" syndrome . Now if I could find a local installer for a tankless water heater......
This is a great modification and I'm attempting to copy it.
What I have:
- I have a '16 21BHS.
- I bought the exact same shower door off of Amazon.
- In the pics I've attached, I'm just holding the door up against the wall as a test. I've not yet cut the bottom to shorten it or taped it to the wall yet. I was checking to see how it would work.
- The bottom piece though has been cut and taped down to the shower pan edge
Question:
- In the pic I've attached, you can see the bottom of the shower door does sit flush against the wall becuase of the lip of the shower pan. It will end up going flush against the wall as it bends a little further up.
- Was your install like this? If so, did you just use some caulk on the opening that is created at the bottom due to that that lip?
Any advice would be appreciated.

If I remember correctly, I removed the existing strips on the bottom of the shower both left and right I think I just had to loosen the back one they slide into each other. Cut the 2 sides with a hack saw then reinstall and calk. I then installed the shower side after cutting off what I needed from the bottom and calked the front edges you don't want to do the back edge it has drain holes on it.
I cut a notch in the back of the vertical piece that allowed it to meet flush with both the wall and the metal pan edge. If I remember correctly it was mostly hollow anyways, so didn't really affect anything. Made it much easier to get a nice tight caulk bead across the whole thing.

Tinkeringtechie I might be misunderstanding so I want to clarify. You're saying you cut a notch in the vertical shower door/curtain that is being installed vs the shower pan edge? If that's the case, that means you cut it on both sides?
Craigd, if I'm reading what you wrote correctly, you actually unscrewed the lip that's over the pan, pulled it out, cut it shorter and then reinstalled it?
So two different menthods, if I'm reading this right.
I've already cut the bottom piece so I'm concerned I might have made a mistake - and what's the best way to proceed.
(My camper is up at a storage garage not near my house so I don't have easy access to look at the piece right now.)
Here are 3 photos of our install. The first is the inside bottom corner on the latch side, showing that I cut the trim of the shower base so the door frame fits flush. The second is the upper corner on the door storage side, showing the fit in that area. The third is the outside bottom corner on the latch side. showing the slight overhang the door frame has with the shower base. Sorry for the crappy photos. I didn't have the patience to get the camera set right.

Both methods should look identical after the caulk is on. I chose mine because I didn't need to remove the shower trim and it would be easier to switch curtains if I ever needed to. The bottom piece length isn't that critical as long as you can still seal both ends. Making it a water-tight bucket that drains INTO the shower is key.
Thank you for the advice...
I'm going to cut the metals lips and go that route based on what I've done so far.
Just a quick update. I finished off the shower curtain thanks to all your advice. I thought it came out great and my wife really loves it. She said it dramatically changed the feeling of the shower and made it more like being in a little hotel...which was the goal. Thank you.
A little late but I did do it the same as Merlin above, lovin my shower curtain too, just makes it much easier and I hated stepping on the old shower curtain it was always in the way.
