Hello, I'm new here, recently purchased the Jeep Trail Extreme off road trailer (which is a modified QuickSilver 6.0 made by Livin Lite), the trailer is bare bones however my wife wants me to add an AC unit to the trailer. The QuickSilver 6.0 has an optional AC unite the goes in the same same location as my storage cabinet, I called the factory for help by they were NO help at all, very poor customer service is you ask me.
Anyway, I don't really like the factory option because it sticks out on the outside of the camper and is covered with a vinyl tonneau cover that snaps on.
I prefer the option of a hard sided door that opens from the outside when using the AC and can be closed when traveling or not in use.
I guess i would need to modify the storage cabinet to accommodate a small 5000 BTU AC unit, not sure if it needs to slide out when in use so the condensation water can drip outside or it could stay mounted on the inside of the camper.
So, I open to any and all suggestions as to how to proceed, has anyone here added an AC unit to a 6.0 or other Livin Lite camper?
Thanks
I have a 2010 6.0 with factory installed air. The a/c unit is located behind a flip down door and slides out for operation. The slides are nothing more than inexpensive drawer slides. The a/c unit is attached by two screws. Very easy to remove for cold season camping. I'll post pictures later if interested.
