Hi everyone. We will be leaving for this State Park in lower Michigan on Monday. It near Grand Haven and Muskegon, and is situated on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. Sounds like it's beautiful there and there are nice sandy beaches and dunes, but we are wondering if any of you have any feedback about it. Also, what are some fun things to do around the campground and in the nearby area? We will be there starting Monday and leaving on Friday. Thanks!

Never been there, but I have always been pleased with Michigan State Parks. Lake Michigan is awesome, love how clear it is.
Trip Advisor app is always the best for these type of questions. It will let you everything to do, and show the best places to eat.
Have Fun

Gregg & Joan[/quote]It's my favorite state park on Lake Michigan. :) I hope you like it too. It's got a nice nature center and the best dunes in the world. Grand Haven is a nice resort area and Muskegon Lake is boaters paradise.
We camped there. The trees were so thick the sun had trouble poking through. The beach is a hike to get to. But like a lot of Michigan SPs it has a great beach and Lake Michigan is outstanding. With all the high temps water should be warm.
Muskegon has a submarine you can tour. Saugatuck has many smaller art galleries and other related stores in its downtown. Grand Haven one of my favorites to shop and eat and drink craft beers. Search Pure Michigan site to see other happenings in the area.
