Just picked up our QS 8.1 and finding a few bugs that you all might be able to answer. First off the WFCO 8725-p power converter w 4 fuses has a fan running non stop. When I throw the 2nd breaker from left the fan stops.
Why is it running so long?
The fan on the converter should only run if/when the converter starts to get warm. This would happen if it is in the high recharge rate, or if you are drawing a large amount of current. If your battery is fully charged and you are not running anything through the electrical system the fan should turn off. If it does not it could be a sign of a malfunctioning converter.
How comfortable are you with electrical systems? You could do some troubleshooting on the systems to know for sure, but if its not something you are comfortable with then its better left to a professional.
