It slides on the rail
Mine is a giant pain to get on and I think I'm going to strip a screw every time I use it. My guess is it got bent somewhere after delivery. Anyway, I attach it with a little bit of both, tilting the first third then sliding along the rest. If you have trouble try that method. O
It's definitely not an ideal system, but it's great to have since it's a standard rail for the RV industry which opens up other attachments like a grill. All of which I doubt I'll ever use :)
Back to the original topic though, my rail usually only gets difficult if it is dirty. I've thought about adding a bit of grease but then I think it will just attract more dirt.
Thanks, this helped me figure out that mine is definitely bent. We just bought new, so it will be back the over an hour drive to the dealer next weekend.
Is the rail bent or just the table? I'd save the drive and just have them ship you a replacement.
I found that I can hook the top part on the rail and then drop it down and it holds in place with the bracket. It was hard to slide on and I found I was scratching the paint.
