Is it only me that thinks running an 1-1/2" drain pipe directly down the middle front and center of valuable under counter shelf space is a bad idea? I mean, three 45 degree elbows cost like...nuthin'. But no. LL decides to do just that under the kitchen sink. Three feet of obstruction for you!
Anyways, a thing of the past now. Just sayin'.
Dang now have to add one more thing to my mod list, thanks I think.
HA! Yep, I hear you on that!
After relocating the drain pipe I added a big honking water filtration system under there and still have twice the available space...lol.
Common sense seems to be very rare with some aspects of Camplites.
Can you post a picture of the problem? The drain location on the 21BHS seems reasonable. I'm guessing it's an issue with certain floorplans.
Although it may not be obvious from the perspective in the photo, the drain line and trap are right in the middle of the cabinet under the sink in the 14's and 16's. It makes the space much more difficult to use and it would have been extremely easy during original drain installation to change the angle of the drain line to be further back against the wall and out of the way. I'll do that someday when I replace the sink, but it's hard to get to now.

TT, I'd like to but the pipe is rerouted now.
Yes mine was sort of like Merlin's but came out of the standpipe at a much straighter line toward the camera. More in the center of the shelf and forward.
Now, with three 45's and raising the horizontal run, it hugs the wall with the P-trap perpendicular to it. Fits right behind the water filter.
That space gobbles up the lobster pot filled with stuff and the 110V coffeemaker now. Neither would fit there before. No more fussing and cussing....it's my mantra.
Yup, it's hard to see from the photo, but Whoofit's correct that the trap is smack in the middle of the space; maybe even a bit toward the door. It's a silly installation. It would have helped just to have the tailpiece from the sink shorter to get the trap higher. It may seem "superficial" to complain about it, but in these campers, every cubic inch counts!
I really shouldn't complain though. Any opportunity to don my tool belt around my lady and earn a kiss of approval on the cheek for a job that was "so precise and difficult" is welcomed. It's the swagger at the end that gets 'em....
That and now she can stop bugging me to do it...lol
I think the sink pipes in the 21BHS could use some moving, too. I thought I had to live with it... Joan
Joan, we decided in month two to make any and all changes we saw fit to improve our experience. I even changed the floorplan significantly. This mod is definitely in the realm of do-it-yourselfer. True there are levels of DIY but any plumber could make short work of it for you.
I have a friend who is a plumber. Think I will ask for his advice.
