We were getting tired of tent camping and brought home a new 2014 14DB from Montana last week.
Our highlander towed the trailer well in the normal 40+ mph wind gust of the great plains. Just a little sway when being passed by livestock semis. So far I don't think we need a WDH, but that may change once we add more gear and water.
On the way home we dry camped at Makoshika State Park in Montana. The temperatures fell below freezing, but we turned on the furnace and set the thermostat on the lowest temperature possible and stayed plenty warm.
Thanks for all the information that is being shared on the forum. It really helps rookies, like us.
Welcome! That's great you made the trip home a camping adventure. Those furnaces are good for a lot of heat1
Welcome from Nevada and enjoy your camper. Maybe we'll meet-up some day as the Badlands are on my bucket list.
