family and work stuff interrupted my plan to go camping with my brother to the lower desert near palm springs. Borrego Springs. So, we are planning again beginning of April. It's been really warm here so we may not need to heater for the evenings.
I was hoping to bring a couple cameras and shoot some QS/Livin Lite camping experience videos, or at least one. I don't see that many. I was thinking time lapse on setup and maybe a sunset. then, some other camping stuffs with a emphasis on the Quicksilver if possible.
After May begins it'll be tougher to find any two days in a row to go away..
you'se all?
We have our first family trip planned for the end of the month here in NC. I'm planning on shooting lots of video and stills. With a 4 year old and a dog I'm sure we will have plenty of action.
Seasonal shake-down cruise next weekend. Pulling her out of storage and spending the week getting ready.
Still winter here. Our far too short camping season starts in June and even then it can be COLD. --- You guys have it made. Savour it! Enjoy every moment. 8-)
Yeah we never got a flake of snow here. I feel cheated because I winterized FOR NOTHIN' !!
Nah, we had a couple days in the high 20's here and there. Just cold and dry.
recent rains here will make for an awesome wildflower season in the low desert, and gorgeous green grass rolling hills in other places.
My plan with my brother(never been camping) is to hit Borrego Springs

Off the Death Valley on the 25th and can't wait. Hope the flowers hang around as I have seen beautiful pictures so far.
The plan is back on...with modifications. There are no Saturdays available. So, we might primitive camp for one night in Anza Borrego and then I booked a site for Sunday and Monday. Should be quiet for those days as many sites seemed to be open.
The weather looks warm. 80s in the daytime and 58-60 at night.
My brother and me on a eat, drink, hike and sit 2-day escape from work and wives!
Oooohhh... I am reading this and I am suffering from separation anxiety since we stored our Camplite 4 hours south of here, so I am not winterizing, dewinterizing, winterizing, etc. We spent 3 months in warm, er, not so warm, sunny, er, not so sunny, Florida. El Nino strikes!#&*
As soon as I adjust to this cold weather, I will post a summary on Trip Reports. Anyhow, separation anxiety has hit me! Enjoy! Camp on!
