Has anyone had any experience with Passport America campgrounds and discounts ? Is it worth the price ? When researching it seems the discounts are usually given on tent sites or are very restrictive. Is there any other clubs that are worth the investment ? We already belong to Good Sam since we have a camping world close by and we also subscribe to their road service which I highly recommend !! Our in laws have an Outdoor Adventure membership here in Michigan which is fine for them since they camp in one place all the time. It included a coast-to-coast membership for the children which we found very inconvienant and ineffective to use :/. We are planning a long road trip for the summer so thought I would look into some possibilities for more discounts and would like to hear what everyone uses.
We are Good Sam Club members and have the federal America the Beautiful Senior Pass. I'd be interested in updated info on other useful memberships. There are other threads on this topic from last year.
We camped out west for 6 weeks this summer so we joined KOA rewards (10% discount at their campgrounds)
Most of the time when I want to use Passport America the discounts are not available. I am not planning to renew.
My husband and I spent this past winter roaming around Florida. I used my Escapees membership a lot. I saved about $300 over the course of the winter. I am definitely renewing!
