Hi everyone! We are 4 weeks into our first trip with our new trailer. We were on Tybee Island, GA, at first and then down in FL since then (Palm Beach, the Keys, Pine Island (near Sanibel), and now Bradenton. Will be heading back home to Northeast Ohio next week. Have had a great trip, even though the weather has been cooler, windy, and much rainier than normal down here this year (remind us to never come down here during an El Nino' winter ever again!). We've had a few nice days but haven't been able to kayak much and no snorkeling in the Keys. The camping trailer has been working great and we have gotten a lot of compliments on it from the very nice people we've met along the way. They all want to see the inside as well, after talking outside for awhile. They all are impressed by the construction, the layout, the features and the overall fit and feel of it. It tows along behind our Jeep Grand Cherokee like a charm and the Jeep had no problems whatsoever pulling it through the mountains of WV and VA on the way down here. Am glad that we got the V-8 engine in the Jeep and the Andersen WDH as that helped keeps things steady on a very windy and stormy day traveling in the Keys (I would not have wanted to go across Seven Mile Bridge without it given the 35 mph cross winds!). No major issues with the trailer, but we will need to have the dealer take a look at the wiring of the fuse box / circuit breaker panel because whenever the microwave and electric water heater are running at the same time, we trip a breaker (they are each supposed to have their own circuit breaker but it seems as though they are wired to the same one). Also, we are probably going to get a dehumidifier to help keep down the humidity at night or on a humid day or when it's raining. Running the A/C for a while helps a little, but you can't have the condenser running all the time or we freeze ourselves out (and then as soon as the condenser stops, the humidity starts rising quicky again). But overall, we are very pleased with the 21BHS and are looking forward to many other camping trips over the years ahead!

Nice looking rig and great photos. Glad to hear you are enjoying your trip in spite of the weather. Just keep in mind what folks up north have had to deal with while you were in Florida! Sure you want to go home???
Trip reports like this are especially nice for those of us snowbound. Sounds like you had a great time. That's a major expedition for a first trip! Nice color matching on the camper and TV too.
Hi everyone! Thanks for compliments and well wishes. Since you're not mad at us (for missing a good part of winter!), here are a couple more pics from our trip. We will begin heading back home this week, although when we see what the weather forecast is we are thinking about extending our trip!!

gbpack,
You're really rubbing it in to the boys up north with all those palm trees 8-) 8-) Enjoy it while you're here, but think of what we have in July-August :-[

I can't wait to get my trailer out of storage! Last weekend we got 37cm of snow and 20cm forecasted for tomorrow!
We just bought a 28BHS and were wondering your impression of the Anderson hitch. We need to buy one (wds) and they seem pretty popular. Regards Chris
Depending on what you're towing with, you may want to consider other WDH systems. The Andersen has been noted to be very effective for sway control, but not so good for weight distribution. With the weight and size of the 28 you probably will need good WD. Look at the Equal-i-zer or similar WDHs that also provide sway control.
