I also just purchased a 2015 16TBS with old style cabinets and twin axels. This is my first adventure towing a trailer. I progressed with age from backpacking, tent camping and most recently pickup truck camper(FourWheelCamper). Most of my camping has been backcountry and off the grid so this is going to be a huge change. I've already learned a ton from this Forum. Merlin really is a wizard! Cheers and Happy New Year
Welcome and good choice of camper! Being on the grid does have some advantages! After you have some towing experience, post some thoughts on your Tundra as a tow vehicle. One of those may be in my future and I'm eager to learn how they work out as a TV.
As much as it pains me to say, he has enough tow vehicle. But not TOO MUCH !!!
Thanx guys. I left the unit in IN until March at the earliest. Merlin, I've printed your Inside/outside to check them off one by one, BRILLIANT
Welcome aboard flyhead. It will be interesting hearing from you as we are just getting started ourselves. It's a great forum and we've learned a lot already in 5-6 months!
Thanx, gb
Welcome to the family! I'm here on behalf of Livin Lite factory, so let me know if there's ever anything I can do.
....if there's one thing being on this forum has taught me: it is that Merlin is ABSOLUTELY a (RV) wizard. I am still holding out hope that he will have a big, white, poofy beard when I meet him one of these days.
Congrats on the new camper. You may not even know the camper is back there after pulling a space shuttle :D . Looking forward to some good updates and experiences.
Ammo and Christian, thanx for the welcome. Christian, good to know we have an advocate here from LL. I almost didn't buy the 16TBS when I found out I could't order exactly the model I wanted. I was ready to order an Escape instead, but realized they were sold out for next season. I'm happy I found the 2015, cheers, flyhead
