Hose carriers are fine for hoses. Where do you put all the "goodies" like elbows, connectors, flushers, gloves, etc...? With our previous camper we installed an extra battery box and put those parts in there. Anyone have a better solution? I'm reluctant to put them in the storage compartment because of potential odors and contamination.
Travis,
I mounted the 60" D&W SuperTube lengthwise along the left side where the original 2' sewer tube was. It holds the 15' Rhinoflex hose without its end caps plus the sewer pipe connector and a 45 degree clear elbow. I moved the original carrier to the right side ahead of the step for shorter hoses etc. for the "blue tank". Box of gloves in the truck or storage compartment since they're clean. For now I carry an extra 10' Rhinoflex extension in the truck bed but may put another tube on the trailer someday. I specified a built in back flusher so don't need to store that.

[p]I bought a 60" tube and mounted it just behind the battery box above the frame. There was no room to remove the stock 36" and replace it, the stabilization jack would be in the way, so I left the old tube in place for no good reason at all.
No elbows needed - my hose is a semi-rigid deal kinda like those bendy straws we had as kids. Extend it and it stays extended. Bend it and it stays bent until you bend it back or collapse it again. 10'-er collapses to about 4'. Works a treat, as you don't have to worry about it acting the accordion and coming out of the dump station hole mid-operation. Got it at camperworld, but I don't see it online there.
I don't have a flush wand. I suppose I could store it in the old tube if I ever get one.
I have a small clear plastic bin in the port side passthrough, has a box of surgical gloves, a pair of clear safety goggles, and a pack of moist wipes just in case. This box is the last thing packed and is immediately available when pulling at the dump station at the end of a trip leaving the park.

[/p][p]Edit: Here, I found it [a href="http://www.amazon.com/Prest-O-Fit-1-0067-Duraform-Sewer-Hose/dp/B002NFLRAC/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1399430548&sr=8-12&keywords=rv+sewer+hose+blueline"]on the amazon[/a]. [/p][p]

Haven't had to deal with that yet, but a plastic or even metal ammo box would seem almost ideal. They seal well and are available in a variety of sizes to suit your needs.
It's interesting that two of you have mentioned the "stock" tube and both of them are different lengths. Our's didn't come with a tube at all. Is this a factory provided accessory, or did the dealer add it (like the battery box/propane tanks)? I ordered one of the 60" super-tubes and hopefully that will fit everything (they claim it does). The ammo can is an interesting idea, but I would still worry that I'd drip or touch it with contaminated gloves.
Funny I was just going to post on this very topic! My 13QBB came with a small supertube but my Rhinoflex hose is to long to fit in it. According to the Supertube site I need the 60" supertube, problem is I don't have a 60" span to mount it underneath the frame anywhere. The only place I can see to mount it is along the back bumper. I'm not comfortable putting it under the bumper because it reduces ground clearance a bit more than I'd like, that leaves the top of the bumper. I can't think of any reason other than looks that it shouldn't go there. Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?
Could you mount it under the tongue? That seems to be a pretty common location.

Mine is actually 26", similar to the one on the RPOD, and came standard from the factory. With no tube and no brake battery box maybe there's some field stripping going on at you dealer.

There's no evidence that a tube was ever installed (unlike the battery box), so it may have just been left off. A 26" tube wouldn't be of much use though, as even my 10' hose is 32" collapsed.

[/p]
This would work for dump stations, but if you're at a park with full hookups they'll want you to use a threaded elbow so that the odors don't escape.
If I mount it along the tongue I get the same clearance issue as if I mount it under the rear bumper. The existing one is mounted on a cross member so it's higher. I suppose I could mount it behind the battery box. The pictures explain my conundrum.
This photo shows where ours came with a fairly short storage tube, with I think a 10' hose inside:

CampingWorld had a 15' sewage hose on sale with an angle adapter, and I have one on the way. I will be looking to add a second tube so that 25' would be doable with both connected.
It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but is the hose tube mounted lengthwise ahead of the axles? The 60" SaniTube from D&W will fit between the axles and the stabilizer and will hold the 15' RhinoFlex hose, adapter, and a 45 degree clear elbow so you can see what's going on. I don't know what you ordered from CW or what came with your Campliite so I'm not sure they will mate. Check before you leave home. :)

Yes, its the black tube running lengthwise between the wheels and the hitch.
This is what I ordered:
http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/rhinoflex-swivel-rv-sewer-kit/44151
I realize I may need an adapter to utilize the hose that came with the CampLite, or just buy a compatible one. I'll know more when it arrives.
You bought the right thing. It will fit in a 60" tube. However, I don't think the LL supplied hose will mate because it only has one end fitting. Your options are buy a separate male end fitting from Rhino and install it on the end of the supplied hose OR buy a RhinoFlex extension hose complete with fittings. They are available in 5' and 10' lengths. The 10' version will not fit in the factory tube. While you're at it consider a clear elbow. It really helps to see when the tanks are clean. It also fits in the 60" tube or can go in the shorter tube if you keep it.

Not worried about full hookups at this stage, but something to look into. Of course, I have lots of room in the old shorty tube, now.
I received the 60" Sanitube today and the simplest place to mount it on my 13QBB is going to be right on top of the back bumper. As it happens the mounting holes for the tube line up nicely with the frame and it looks easy, I have one hesitation though. The brake lights are on the bumper in the same place and I assume the wiring for the lights goes right through the frame where I'd be drilling the mounting holes for the tube. Given the propensity for Murphy to involve himself in situations like this I'm quite sure that my drill bit will entangle the wiring for the lights rendering everything one giant mess. I suppose I could pry the light covers off, remove the brake lights and somehow fasten the wiring out of the way until I'm finished with power tools. That process seems rather involved so maybe I'm over thinking it. Anyone have any suggestions here?
Mitch
PS I posted a picture earlier in this thread that shows the top of the bumper location.
On my CL 16 I installed the tube on top of the bumper and used heavy duty cable ties to secure. Never had a problem, worked great and no drilling.
Steve
Thanks Steve, I had thought about cable ties but was worried they wouldn't hold up.
Mitch,
If it were me I'd use #12 or #14 stainless steel hex head sheet metal screws and washers. About 3/4" or 1" should be right. No worry with the wires if you start with a small 1/8" hole and drill down just until you feel it enter the hollow tubing. Then push the drill bit down by hand and you'll find out what's down there. If all clear, go back with the proper pilot drill, again drilling only until the bit enters the hollow, and install.
[a href="http://www.frentzandsons.com/Hardware%20References/pilotholedrillsizesforstart.htm"]Sheet Metal Drill Sizes[/a]
The 3/4"-1" screw will just push any wires aside. They won't be right up top anyway and they will move easily. I suggest stainless because it doesn't react much with aluminum and it doesn't rust. Put a dab of clear silicone on the screw threads to seal the hole and you'll be good to go.

Thanks for the detailed response charlie!
I used the metal cable ties from...you guessed it...Harbor Freight.
I went ahead and drilled holes. Pilot hole for 1/4" by 3/4" stainless steel hex screw with some silacone. No problems at all.

The proof! I added one shot of the combi-lock change also but I may actually put the key lock back on. While I thought the combi would be easier I have to get reading glasses to see the dang numbers, I may as well just get the darn key. Aging has certain inevitable drawbacks.
Mitch
Mitch,
Looks good and thanks for the pix. You did it right! Re the CombiLocks: I understand the glasses thing so if you do put the key locks back on I'd recommend getting them re-keyed at a locksmith. The factory supplied 751 key comes with every camper ever delivered . It was originally intended as a convenience to dealers so they wouldn't need a different key for each camper on their lot. They just never changed them so everyone at the campsite has the same key. Might as well leave them unlocked and post a sign :).

Mitch,
Thanks for the pics and explanation for the rest of us 13'ers. The set-up looks great I plan to do the same, or similar, this week.

For odd-shaped pieces, how about a plastic ammo box, bolted somewhere convenient?
Saw some at Gander Mountain for about $20, that looked like they would do nicely.

[/p][p]3 pairs of holes drilled through the bottom, then snugged up with stainless steel zip ties (though I see no reason why plastic wouldn't last pretty much forever).[/p][p]
[/p][p]Got one that fit my 90 degree, plus whatever that thing is called that holds the sewer hose up off the grass. One of those.

I was thinking somewhere on the tongue, but rear bumper crossed my mind as well.

Wanted to put it above, but it would interfere with the water heater door. IF it effects the clearance or the leveling jacks, I might have to rethink it. Wish I could say it's my idea, but found it on other trailer forums. Just thought it was a brilliant idea, and not too hard or expensive. My connections, clear 45 and clean out all fit in with the storage caps. Need to find a use for the 2' joke that came with my trailer. Wand storage? Smuggling stuff??
Happy Trails!!!

I had to mount it on the tongue. Didn't want it to drag in low spots and it got in the way of the levelers. I had to relocate the little brake battery, but now I can get to it easily to check/charge the battery. I kinda like it up front.
