Hi,
While examining a new LL trailer (will need to confirm the exact model), I noticed a problem with the grey water tank. At least one of the straps were defective. One was too short, and had to be physically bent during the installation. The short strap may have deformed the tank to the point where the tank could not make contact with one of the other straps.
I shared my observations with the tech, who concurred that the straps would need to be replaced.
The other LL trailers that I examined on this lot did not have this problem.
LL, I'll provide the specifics of the dealership and tech so you can close the loop with them.

Wow - that's really bad - completely unacceptable.
Whomever assembled that knew that they were building junk and went ahead and did it anyway.
If LL doesn't fire that person and whomever does their quality/inspection...

I agree that this represents a problem. However, my bias is to look at process/management problems before people problems.
In this video (from a different company), you can see people actually running on the factory floor. If management finds that behavior acceptable, there's no way you can build a good product:

Not only does quality suffer, but I do not want their workers comp insurance bills built into *my* RV!
For all we know, the builder/inspector at LL pointed out the issue to the supervisor, and was told to use the bad part and ship it anyway.

Virtually every scene in that Jayco video was speeded up, some at least twice normal speed, so don't be so sure that those workers were really running. No one works that fast in real life.
But seeing that video confirmed why I bought an all aluminum/synthetics LL.

Ha! You should see the mistakes that I make on the job; I can trump that strap problem twice before lunch even on a slow day :)
Seriously, I think that we all know that mistakes happen at all levels in an organization. Like you said, that's just a fact of life, and I don't know of anyone that would disagree. LL's reputation for making things right is a priceless asset in this small, tight-knit marketplace, and I'm very glad to see you taking care of things.
I posted this publicly both to provide feedback to the LL manufacturing process and to encourage other owners to check their rigs. It's much better to catch this kind of thing in the driveway rather than have this thing come loose on the highway.

I posted some pic's of the straps on my 21RBS, Look in "Grey Water Tank" post. I had to modify one strap and rearrange others. A sorry example of QC.
