Greetings, the Mrs and I are from the MidAtlantic area looking to upgrade from a Coleman Fleetwood popup to a Camplite Travel Trailer for comfort and convenience, we're debating the size either a 16 or 21ft, wishing Livin Lite built a 18/19ft to bridge the gap. We travel as a couple, with an occasional guest or two, so accommodations for two primarily (queen bed) and a tip out or fold out sofa option.
We're learning that customizing our travel trailer is an option with Livin' Lite, and an option we certainly wish to exercise.
We welcome feedback / comments on customization, optimizations, "stay away from's", upgrades as I prefer to buy right the 1st time than have regrets down the road.
Hope to learn from other owners, and share our experiences as well.
Cheers,
A&M
Welcome! I'm in Baltimore as well, with a CampLite 13QBB. We've had ours just over a year and really like it. The 13 can be a little tight sometimes for 2 people and a dog, but most of the time it's fine. I didn't want to replace my 4Runner, so the 13QBB was the sweet spot in terms of size and weight.

[font size="3"]Welcome to our forum. Both the 16 and 21 are great trailers. Had the 16TBS been available when we first bought our RPOD we might still have it, but now that we have the 21RBS I'm very glad we do. For prospective buyers who have brought their 16 vs 21 questions to this forum I believe the 21 wins. It's just enough bigger with a bigger bath, bigger fridge, room for a bigger sink if you want it, and probably bigger dinette or sofa. Space where you need it. We have a 6ft plus son who occasionally visits. He sleeps comfortably on the U-dinette bed, but two adult guests would be a squeeze.
According to other posts LL is still going to entertain customization requests, which is great news. They are very easy to work with. They've even substituted a fold out bunk for the slide so don't be afraid to ask. Check out the mods section of this forum for ideas on special items and future mods. As for a don't: don't opt for the spray on floor "insulation". It's a $1000 mistake. Other than that, plan carefully, imagine everything, and go for it.

[p]I am sure that Charlie is right about the extra room and utility of the 21 over the 16. But our 16TBS suits us fine as a couple with one dog aboard and the size and weight is just enough smaller than the 21 to make towing with a 2013 Pathfinder easy with no WDH.[/p][p]
[/p][p]OTOH if you want to sleep any more than another child, the 16TBS won't do it.

Welcome from spfld. Il.I also own a 16'db.and we love it.we are a family of four and yes it can be a little tight but it works.I also kind of hoped they made an 18' or 19'. When kids are gone it will probably be plenty.Whatever model you choose I believe you can't go wrong with a camplite
