I'm on my first camping trip with my Quicksilver 8.0 and would appreciate instructions on attaching the awning. Now that the tent is up the zippers are too high to reach and I can't quite figure out how to attach it while the tent is down and still be able to fold out the Bimini. Help sincerely appreciated!
We use a step stool to reach the zippers. I can't imagine an easy way to attach prior to snapping down the tent.
I agree with @subaruwx I'm sure its possible to attach while the canvas is still down but just because its possible doesn't make it easy :)
I'd say its best to get a step stool or something else to boost you up so it can be attached while the tent is up.
Keep us posted...
I use a plastic folding stool that I bought i think its 18 inches high and folds flat, fits behind /between the fold down kitchen/cabinet.
something similar to this.

I stand on the cooler and I can just reach the zippers. I have to move the cooler from the center where the zipper starts to the end to finish zipping each side.
