Just started shopping. Right now, I have a bunkhouse motorcycle pop-up. Anymore, if I camp on the motorcycle, I just use a tent instead as I go solo, its a lot easier to haul a small cargo trailer, etc.
So I am looking to replace the Bunkhouse with something I can tow behind my truck that my wife and I can use. My truck could pull a decent sized trailer, but my parking is quite limited, so I am considering a QS 10.0 instead. Advantages it would fit inside my garage, no problem getting it up my driveway. Of course, a QS 10.0 is spartan compared to a traditional pull behind trailer. Other than the lack of a toilet, it does have everything I need (OK, I would like a frig too).
There are several used ones out there. I see comments about the tent leaking, so I will be sure to check that.
The bunkhouse has a sleeping area and a small stand up area to dress/whatever. That is it. So the QS, with a dinette, kitchen area, two beds, sink, is luxurious in comparison!
Kind of surprised with the comments of the A/C not keeping up with the camper. Sure, it just has fabric walls, but such a small space.
Anything is a compromise, and storing a camper off site is not desirable for us. We nearly bought an iCamp trailer a couple of weeks ago, but the seller backed out. I figure that did us a favor, reviews of the iCamp are mixed or worse.
Years ago, we had a fifth wheel trailer. Back then, we had a good place to park it. But I got tired of dealing with stick built trailer issues, and it was a chore to haul. We don't really hang out in the trailer anyway. Its a place to sleep and maybe eat breakfast.
I like to do my research before spending $$, so I am reading all the QS threads.
Thanks!
Welcome!
There is also the QS 14XLP. It's a super-duper QS 10 with all of the fixin's

It has AC, a 3-way fridge and a cassette toilet.
I have heard of people having leaky canvas, but other than the time I conditioned mine, no leaks................and I have had some heavy rain.
Where in NC are you?
I ride motorcycles and camp as well and live not too far from the NC state line near Murphy, NC.
Welcome !
